Pitcher’s Name: Kristina Jones

Startup: Court Buddy

3 Sentences Elevator Pitch:Court Buddy matches people and business with attorneys based on the client’s budget! We are the first to offer a-la-carte legal services at flat rates so people can finally budget for legal fees. Court Buddy also allows attorneys to build their practice in an overly saturated market.”

Market Opportunity: “$400 Billion industry. We are going after the untapped $90 Billion.”

Stage: “Post-revenue.”

Revenue Model: “Attorneys: 3 membership plans:  1 – Pay-per-match; 2 – Basic monthly membership; or, 3- Premium monthly membership. Clients: 2 membership plans:  1 – Free limited membership with the ability to contact two of their matches; or, 2-  Monthly membership option with access to every attorney on the site.”

Amount Raising? $500k.

Why is your team uniquely situated to do this?  “Our Ceo and Co-founder James Jones Jr. has been practicing law for nearly a decade and has seen so many people get turned down by attorneys because they could not afford their fees (high retainers and hourly fees) but they still had legal issues that needed to be solved. On the flip side, attorneys were still struggling to find clients. While not being able to solve this issue on his own, the idea of Court Buddy was born.”

Competitive advantage:  “No other legal site is matching based on what the client can afford. We are the first to combine a-la-carte legal services with the flat fees. The system is seamless and very user-friendly!”

Value Prop:Provide people and businesses with access to an attorney when needed, regardless of their financial status.”
